Overview
Connect 4 is my latest game development project created using the Godot game engine. This game is a digital version of the classic board game, where strategy and planning are key to outsmarting your opponent. As part of my ongoing journey in game development, this project allowed me to explore AI programming, game logic, and UI design, pushing my skills further.
Features
• Classic Connect 4 Gameplay: Enjoy the timeless challenge of connecting four tokens in a row while blocking your opponent’s moves.
• AI Opponent: Test your strategy against a computer opponent that challenges you at every turn.
• Multiplayer Mode: Play with a friend in local multiplayer mode, bringing the competitive fun to your screen.
• Dynamic Visuals: Simple yet engaging visuals that enhance the gameplay experience without overwhelming it.
My Journey
Developing Connect 4 was both challenging and rewarding. It involved implementing complex game logic, designing an AI that can adapt to the player’s moves, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable player experience. This project has deepened my understanding of game development principles, particularly in the areas of AI and user interface design. Completing this game has been an exciting step forward in my development journey.
